Do I Need A Dog Walker?

Did you know a majority of veterinarians believe the number one problem plaguing our nation's dogs is obesity. It is estimated that 40% of America's dog population is overweight. Excess weight can lead to serious health problems including kidney disease, musculoskeletal injury, respiratory distress, hypothyroidism and depression. Just like you, Fluffy needs exercise to stay in shape and stay healthy. A dog walker can help make sure your pet gets the exercise he needs.

Proper exercise helps your dog:
  • Prevent negative behavior such as barking, chewing and restlessness
  • Strengthen her immune system
  • Build strong bones and muscles
  • Improve her social skills
  • Live an overall happier and longer life
The American Veterinary Association believes your dog needs a minimum of one hour a day of exercise to remain healthy and happy. AND NO, PUTTING HER IN THE BACKYARD DOES NOT COUNT. Dogs are social animals and need companionship. Unfortunately, given today's hectic work schedules, the increased demands on parents and our own need to be social, sometimes your pet doesn't get all the exercise she needs. A dog walker adds an additional social contact for your pet that will help improve his behavior.
